Cassie Ventura has officially left the United States and has no intention of returning following the legal fallout and massive payouts stemming from the abuse she endured from Sean Diddy Combs.
The Long Way 2 Go hitmaker filed a legal declaration dated May 1, as part of an ongoing lawsuit against male escort Clayton Howard. In the filing, she explicitly states:
“I reside outside of the United States. I do not intend to move back to the United States.”
The Clayton Howard Lawsuit
The declaration was filed in connection with a lawsuit Howard brought against both Cassie and Diddy in California. Howard alleges that he was hired by the former couple for what Diddy famously termed freak-offs, during which he claims he contracted a sexually transmitted disease. He also claims that he impregnated Cassie, but that she later aborted the baby.
Howard, who has been identified as one of the cooperating witnesses who assisted prosecutors in Diddyโs criminal case, alleges he suffered severe physical and psychological harm from what he described as sexual abuse.
The Multimillion Dollar Payouts
Following the immense trauma of her past relationship, Ventura has reportedly relocated abroad after securing roughly $30 million in total payouts. This includes an estimated $20 million settlement directly from Combs following her 2023 civil suit, alongside an additional $10 million from the InterContinental Los Angeles Century Hotel after security footage surfaced showing Combs brutally assaulting her in a hallway.
In her formal response to Howardโs lawsuit, Cassieโs legal team highlighted a message Howard allegedly sent to her husband, Alex Fine, after she first went public with her allegations against Diddy.
The message read: “I know your wifeโs truth is 100% valid, as Iโm 100% sure you did as well. I would have come forward, and I am glad she got some form of justice.”
The text continued: “A lot of what I saw really bothered me because homie was fed up. But I knew she was in love and wouldn’t leave despite being beaten up and punched in the chest in hotel rooms, choked, and forced into s I don’t wanna embarrass anyone with. I’m damn happy you saved her… I’m glad she got something, probably not nearly what she deserves.”
Relocation and Final Closure
At the time of Diddyโs criminal trial, Cassie was pregnant and living in New York while giving her testimony.
While her exact current location remains undisclosed to the public, she noted in her recent filings that it would be significantly easier for her to attend legal proceedings in New York, where her legal team is based, rather than traveling back to California.
Public reaction on social media has been overwhelmingly supportive, with many users commenting “Good for her,” respecting her privacy and choosing not to pry into where she and her family have chosen to start their new chapter.
